Company Documents

Learn how to upload company-wide context documents that Ezra references across all interviews.

What are company documents?

During interviews, candidates often ask questions that go beyond the job description. Candidate ask about company culture, benefits, policies, and more. Company documents give Ezra the information it needs to answer those questions accurately.

Unlike additional context documents (which apply to a single interview), company documents are shared across every interview at your company. Upload something once here, and Ezra can reference it in every conversation with every candidate.

Ezra will never guess or fabricate information. If a candidate asks a question that isn't covered by your documents or the job description, Ezra will let them know the recruiting team hasn't provided that information yet.

What makes a good company document?

Think about the questions candidates commonly ask that aren't specific to any one role. Good examples include:

  • Benefits summaries — Health insurance, PTO, retirement plans, parental leave
  • Company values or mission statement — What your company stands for and how teams operate
  • Culture guides — Work environment, team rituals, communication norms
  • Employee handbook excerpts — Relevant policies candidates might ask about
  • Org charts — High-level company structure and team organization
  • Office and remote work policies — Locations, hybrid arrangements, expectations

Ezra reads the full text of each document, so there's no need to extract or highlight specific sections — just upload the original file.

Upload a document

  1. Go to AI Interview SettingsCompany Documents
  2. Click Add file
  3. Drag and drop or browse for a file (PDF, DOCX, or DOC, up to 10 MB)
  4. Enter a description of what the document contains
  5. Enter why the document is important for interviews — for example: "Candidates frequently ask about benefits and this covers our full package."
  6. Click Save
Description and importance matter

Ezra uses the description and importance fields to understand what each document is about and when to reference it. A clear description like "2025 employee benefits summary including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k details" helps Ezra find the right information faster than a vague one like "HR doc."
